The Good Quote

Humanity’s greatest advances are not in its discoveries

“Humanity’s Greatest Advances Are Not In Its Discoveries, But In How Those Discoveries Are Applied To Reduce Inequity.”

Today’s quote is by Bill Gates, also known as the co-founder of Microsoft or the world’s richest man (at some point). However, now, he’s better known as the man behind the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has invested millions of dollars tackling poverty and malaria and doing good work around the world.

The following quote is an excellent reminder to us on the things that are truly important. Sometimes, we can get too caught up trying to do stuff and create the next big thing, that we forgot the reason and purpose of our creation. We can be chasing the next cool idea and not be applying the idea in a manner which will benefit others.

With millions of people still trapped in poverty and many more facing inequality, we must do more to bridge this gap. Advancement is not in creating new technologies, advancement is in bettering lives. Moving ahead is not discovering more, but rather reducing inequality.

Humanity’s Greatest Advances Are Not In Its Discoveries, But In How Those Discoveries Are Applied To Reduce Inequity.
